eBay vs Craigslist
A few days ago the news of which eBay was suing Craigslist had so little information that you upset I put it in twitter; newly today there were opened the details of the demand(lawsuit) and it(he,she) was so predictable that they were going to have a problem that I cannot believe that newly now it(he,she) exploits.
In 2004 eBay buys 28,5 % of Craigslist; in 2005 it(he,she) throws(launches) Kijiji that is, basically, the same thing but without entering USA; in 2007 Kijiji it(he,she) enters USA and 1 starts “competing” directly with Craigslist … slightly ridiculously.
That happens(passes) later? Craigslist notifies legally to eBay of that they are competing directly and begins a war in the directory(board of directors) of the company .. until eBay says publicly what it(he,she) wants to make do years: ” we would be been charmed with of buying the rest of Craigslist ” and the stock majority decides to reorganize the actions(shares) and to stop out from the directory(board of directors) to eBay.
That the classified free ones are a giant business nobody denies it, that it is the following step of any site(place) of auctions … either that in any moment the percentage of eBay in Craigslist was going to be a problem it(he,she) was, I repeat, so obvious that I do not deal since(as,like) they it did not stop before.
In a way it would be a good thing if ebay took over. Craig has not done ANYTHING to improve the service. I have been using http://cl.radiux.com for a couple of month now instead.
